About Trii
Focusing on a premium range of solid body care products based in Norfolk, Trii’s mission
is to help individuals carve out ‘me time’ amidst their busy lives by offering an
indulgent and rejuvenating experience through its products.
Trii operates within the solid body care industry, a niche segment of the broader natural
skin-care market. This industry is characterised by a growing consumer preference for solid,
sustainable, and eco-friendly products. As awareness about environmental impacts and the
benefits of natural ingredients increases, consumers seek alternatives to liquid products that
often come in plastic packaging. This shift towards sustainability presents significant
opportunities for brands like Trii that prioritise eco-friendly practices and high quality,
natural ingredients.
Trii Cosmetics faced several initial challenges as a new business, including the absence of
existing packaging, branding, and online presence. Entering the market without these elements
required a strategic approach to quickly establish and differentiate the brand.
Approach
The Trii Natural Skin Care Products project was planned and executed to ensure the successful
launch of their brand and ecommerce website. Here’s a look at the approach taken:
Agile Approach
An agile methodology was employed to manage the project efficiently and adapt to changing
requirements. This iterative approach allowed for flexibility, continuous improvement, and
regular feedback, ensuring the final product met the client’s evolving needs.
Involving the client throughout the project was paramount. Regular meetings and updates
were scheduled to keep the client informed and engaged at every stage. A collaborative
approach was taken where the client’s input was solicited and valued. This ensured
that their vision and feedback were integral to the development process.
Established Project Timelines Early
Setting clear and realistic timelines was crucial for maintaining momentum and ensuring
timely delivery. Early on, a comprehensive project timeline outlining key milestones and
deliverables was established. This timeline was regularly reviewed and adjusted as
necessary to stay on track.
Enhance Content Control and Design Protection
Trii required an easy-to-use content management system (CMS) that would allow their small
team to manage the website efficiently. WordPress was selected due to its user-friendly
interface and robust ecommerce capabilities. This choice enabled the client to handle
content updates, product listings, and other administrative tasks without needing
extensive technical expertise.
Using Figma for the design phase allowed for a collaborative and iterative design process.
High-fidelity prototypes were created in Figma, enabling the client to visualise the
website’s look and feel early in the process. Client feedback was documented
directly in Figma, facilitating clear communication and quick iterations based on their
input.
